Know a business owner sitting on years of records?
Accountants, lawyers, IT providers, brokers and consultants often know which companies might fit. You can join a program's referral program directly. If you join Mode's affiliate program through us, Mode may pay us a secondary fee on companies you refer, at no cost to you or the company.
What you should know first
- Only introduce people you know or who agreed to be introduced. Mode doesn't allow purchased or scraped lists or mass email (Mode FAQ), and AIData.Broker bans bulk or unsolicited messages (source).
- Get the company's consent before you refer it (micro1 terms §3.1).
- Disclose that you may be paid. Regulated advisers (accountants, lawyers) should check their own rules on referral fees and get client consent where required.
- Never handle a company's data, logins or files.
- No program guarantees a payout. Fees depend on a deal closing and on each program's terms, and some programs can withhold or claw back payments (micro1 terms §3.3).
